CMMS is an orderly and systematic approach to planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating maintenance activities and their costs. A good maintenance system can prevent health and safety issues, prevent environmental damage, extend asset life, minimize breakdowns, provide for regular maintenance and minimize operating costs.
The software is easy to install, intuitive, expandable, user friendly and capable of issuing daily/weekly and monthly work orders. Key phases of the CMMS are data entry, beta testing, installation and training, troubleshooting support and providing a training report.
The Asset Condition Reporting System (ACRS) provides for regular reporting on the condition of assets, through third party evaluation and full inspection. ACRS identifies maintenance needs required to protect the health and safety of asset users and provides the owner the information necessary to plan for repairs/replacements of assets, an estimate of the funding required over the next three year period, and operations and maintenance budget required to maintain assets in good working and safe condition.
We have found that the implementation of CMMS and use of ACRS can be most effective for the following assets:
- Water Treatment Plants
- Wastewater Treatment Systems
- Roads
- Administration Buildings
- Schools
- Community Halls
